Sounds in the Sky

I have re-injured my right shoulder and it is affecting my right arm and hand.  I am in pain 24/7, and numb from neck to fingertips most days – as if I had a very tight ace bandage wrapped around my shoulder that was cutting off circulation to my arm and hand.  I am not sure how much I will be posting for a while, but have been thinking about this subject and wanted to see what you thought …

About a month ago I received an email with links to some videos of recorded sounds coming from the sky and a compilation of all the things that have happened the first part of the year.

Having some knowledge of End Time Prophecy and believing in the literal fulfillment of those prophecies, I wondered at the authenticity of these videos.  I listened to numerous videos, each one from a different area of the world, but could find no definitive answers to whether these noises are hoaxes or genuine, or what is causing them if they are genuine.

Then, a couple weeks ago I heard what sounded like a combination of the wheels of a tractor-trailer humming on pavement and one of those alpine horns that they show in a cough drop commercial.  My husband said it was a truck on the other side of the lake, but it didn’t diminish and fade like a truck would have; but continued for about 5 or 10 minutes before abruptly stopping.  I’m still not sure what it was we heard, but the similarity to the sounds in the videos makes me wonder.

A couple days ago I received the link to the video below, and I thought I would share with you and see what you think.  I personally like the thought that these noises are a warning from God to get our attention.

Post-publication note:  If you are intrigued by these sounds, please read Lyn Leahz’s comments and follow her links to read more articles on what has been happening.

END TIMES MUSINGS

I was sitting on the deck yesterday morning, enjoying a cooling summer breeze, when my mind began to turn to thoughts of the end of times.

The decline in moral behavior and the rise of outright blatant sin of the past few years; the economic disaster that is waiting in the wings; the Biblical prophecies that coincide with the unrest in the Middle East — it all points to the fact that time is running short.

As these thoughts ran through my mind, I thought of the End Time Prophesies and how they would affect me personally if I were to have to live through them.

We live within a half mile of a lake and having recently read the Left Behind series, the image of that small body of water being turned to blood has been in my thoughts frequently. (Revelation 8:10-11)

This area of New York is filled with lakes and ponds and creeks. I don’t want to have to be here when the water is turned to blood, especially this close to all that water.

New York State also has numerous earthquake faults crisscrossing the state. My dad had a fault line map of this area when I was a kid, and one ran right through this area. While not as frequent or severe as earthquakes in California, there have been dozens in New England and Canada since 1975.

Experts say that New York City and the Northeast are due for a major quake, just because it hasn’t happened too often here. This knowledge brings to mind the great earthquake predicted in Revelation 6:12.

Revelation 6 opens with the Four Horsemen. One of these horsemen is on a Black Horse and represents worldwide famine and skyrocketing prices. For years there has been famine around the world.

With the record breaking heat and drought across the country that severely damaged crops, we are seeing this beginning even now. Not to mention the outrageous price of gas and oil products.

I am a believer in the pre-tribulation rapture of the church. But with so many differing beliefs on the rapture and Christ’s Second Coming, I find the question popping up in the back of my mind as to how any of us can truly be sure that our interpretation is the correct one.

Is my belief only my belief because I don’t want to have to live through the tribulation? Each side has its own reasons for their beliefs, and each side is absolutely sure that they are correct. Have I chosen to take this side because of fear?

I can’t answer that right now, but the thoughts continue to grow in an ever expanding circle, rippling outward like water into which a pebble has been tossed.

And while my thoughts turn to these future things my frail humanity cannot stem the rise of fear and anxiety that come naturally with a sense of self-preservation.

But even as these feelings begin to rise, I feel God’s Spirit within me assuring me with strengthening peace and joy that He is in control and all that has been prophesied is within His will and under His authority.

So I toss my own pebble into His arms, sure that He will catch me tight and hold me through whatever ripples may come.

“… In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
