“The Lord will give strength unto his people;
the Lord will bless his people with peace.”
Psalm 29:11

You might ask how we can have peace in a world that is full of chaos.

Philippians 4 tells us the peace of God, which passes all understanding can keep our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Colossians 3:15 tells us to let the peace of God rule in our hearts.

We have a choice to make. We can either live with our lives disrupted by the fear and chaos going on around us, or we can let God’s peace fill us despite the fear and chaos going on around us.

As I listen to the news and the possibility of getting into another war in the Middle East, I feel the fear and anxiety creeping into my heart and mind. It is only as I throw myself into the arms of my Lord that I can peacefully rest in the knowledge that He is in control.

And as I go through today, I pray that the memory of what happened 12 years ago will be a reminder that true peace cannot be found outside a personal relationship with God the Father through Jesus Christ His Son.

  1. The Lord’s peace is not the same kind of peace the world provides. His peace comes in the midst of circumstances that are anything but peaceful. May we all experience His peace in our lives today. Be blessed and bless someone else today!
