NEW AGE MOVEMENT, FALSE CHRISTS AND 666

“4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.  5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.  6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.  7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes in divers places.  8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.”   Matthew 24:4-8

I was watching last week’s Jack Van Impe Presents, and they were talking about a man in Toronto that has put up billboards claiming he is the messiah and  claiming that there is no sin.  This man also put up a billboard with the number 666 in bold red numerals.

Jack and Rexella discussed and quoted Scripture that shows that Jesus is the One and Only True Messiah.

Rexella also showed pictures of people getting tattoos with 666 on their wrists and backs.  These people actually believe that this man in Toronto is the Christ and have taken his number proudly.

This is the quote that Rexella read:  “The number typically conjures up Biblical symbolism tied to the antichrist, but this St. Catherines, Ontario family belongs to an obscure Christian sect for which 666 is a positive symbol of their group’s messianic leader.”

Dear friends, this broke my heart.  I know that the Bible teaches that millions will take the number of the antichrist during the 7 year Tribulation; but to see it happening now just tears me apart.

The Bible makes it clear that whoever takes the number or the mark of the antichrist will drink of the wine of the wrath of God (Rev. 14:9-10).  It is clear that once a person has taken the number of the beast, they have sealed their fate and will spend eternity in hell.  (Rev. 14:11)

Rexella then read this statement from a man who is part of the New Age Movement: “The countdown has already begun.  The ultimate plan of the New Age Movement is to win as many ministers and laymen to their cause and to take over every Christian Church.  The New Age Plan is very clear.  It is to establish a One World Government and a One World Religion.”

Along with this discussion of the New Age Movement, they showed pictures of four prominent, immediately recognizable women who are leaders of this movement, and claim to be little gods.  These women have turned from their Christian upbringing and are pulling their followers into the lie.

They also talked about two very prominent pastors in this country that have been accused of joining the New Age Movement and have begun teaching a “feel good” type of ministry.  One of them was quoted as saying that he did not want to preach about sin anymore because he didn’t want to hurt someone’s feelings.

Rexella then showed a list of “points” from a woman’s manuscript that denies and blasphemes the deity of Jesus and His redemptive work on the cross.

I have deliberately not included the names of these New Agers because I will not use my blog to give them any more public time than they have already gotten.

These thoughts and views are spreading like wildfire around the world.  They are moving into the churches, deluding ministers into following this blasphemous ideology, and are thus being taught from the pulpits.

Brothers and Sisters in Christ, we MUST humble ourselves and pray to the Lord and turn from our sins.   God promises that if we do that, He will hear from heaven and will forgive our sins and will heal our land.

The world is on the brink of implosion – morally, spiritually and economically.   We MUST stand in the breach and do our part through fasting and prayer, and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost.

“13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.  14  How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?”  Romans 10:13-14

I was on facebook the other day, and through Greg Holt’s group page Believers United for Revival, I found a wonderful blog called Tell God Thank You.  It is written by Minister Debra Aiken.  Please go read her inspiring article about humility, prayer, seeking God, and turning from evil here.

Also from the same facebook page, I found a link to a video called Hell’s Best Kept Secret  done by Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort for The Way of The Master.  The video begins with the declaration that 80-90% of new decisions for Christ end up falling away to their former life because of how they were witnessed to.  They then give an excellent lesson on how to evangelize and witness to unbelievers.  You can find the video here.

I had been wondering recently if my articles are too “in-your-face” and too hard or “preachy”, and had half talked myself into attempting to write “softer” Christian articles.

Finding all these articles and videos within an hour of each other has led me to see that time is really short and I can not take the chance of being so polite that I softly allow someone to end up in hell.

Years ago, I wrote a couple articles for our church newsletter, and subsequently broke them up into 4 posts for pages here at On Faith and Writing and for posts at Christian Blessings.  I have decided to post them here over the course of the next few weeks, outlining clearly how much God loves us, the fact that we are all sinners in need of redemption, and the consequences of rejecting Jesus as Savior.

Please don’t feel like your articles are too “hard or in your face”
The Spirit is leading you towards revealing this information
We all need the softer side of God and the in your face facts to combat evil
We must continue to pray for protection for ourselves, country and the world
    God Bless

  2. Dear Dru,

Our responsibility is to tell the truth; the unvarnished, whole truth. We’re to do so in love, but that doesn’t mean we’re to soft-pedal it, so as to make it palatable, and easy to swallow. That’s why teaching that God is love without teaching that He is also Holy and Just is a big lie. When you leave out the words, Sin, The Cross, redemption, The blood of Christ, and Sacrifice, all you’ve managed to do is perpetuate a lie. People will never understand the love of God until they see their need of Him, and their position before Him. You keep on telling the truth.
We Christians have forgotten the concept of “tough love.” God used it in dealing with His chosen people Israel. Can we do any less? We can still be loving while taking a tough stand for Christ. We have to. If we don’t then we’re not doing out part.
BTW, how is your son doing, and what’s his first name? I’ve been praying for him and your family every day.

    In Christ,
    Wayne

    • Thank you Wayne. Your input is appreciated. I agree, but I had been getting the feeling that I was stepping on toes with some of my writing. Satan making me doubt? Probably. I was also reminded that I am not writing to please men, but the Lord.

I always pray for God’s leading and guidance in my writing and only post an article when I feel He is 100% approving of it. As with my fiction, I have to sit before an empty screen and pray for the ideas and words before I know what to write. If I am struggling over something, I walk away and pray, wondering if I am writing on my own thoughts. Only when I am sure the words are from the Lord do I finish writing — and then I pray for clear leading on whether it is ok to post. There have been times when I have felt something should not be posted after writing it – almost an unseen force pushing me away from the computer — when this happens, I file it away until I feel it is the time to post it.

I guess I just needed to be sure where the doubts were coming from, and an affirmation from God that I was, indeed. writing according to His will.

  3. Excellent article, Dru. I hate the thought of anyone portraying themselves as the Christ or marking themselves, but they clearly didn’t read the bible. It brought home the point that we as Christians better get the word into our hearts so we know the truth unequivocally.
    God Bless You, Christian soldier.

    • Hi Debra. Thank you for stopping in. I have finally overcome the lingering cough from a cold a few months ago, and am feeling much better. We are busy here with our 2 1/2 year old granddaughter, who we have 4 days a week and sometimes weekends; and I am struggling to find the time to write and get on here more often. Thank you so much for the encouraging words. God bless.
